User Task Analysis in 3D envrionments
One of the interesting parts of Second Life is the ability to moniter peoples purchasing habbits and get immediate feedback. One resident purchased an item from a vendor that I had. He then asked a question about another product available through the same vendor, but instead purchased the original item a second time. I have had this problem in the past, and thought that I had solved the confusion by changing the name of the vendor so that the products name was included in the payment window. I started redesigning the vendors to appear like common JEVN setups with where preview panels are located. Perhaps familiarity with one user interface will help people purchase the item they wanted.
