Upgraded RSS feed services
Over the past weekend, I was able to upgrade my website. I was primarily after the new version of MySQL. Along with the upgrades came the next version of PHP. I didn’t realize at the time, but this broke my RSS 2 SSS conversion scripts. Radar Masukami contacted me and told me that the feed display he purchased wasn’t working. I had a look and sure enough the old domxml_* methods were no longer supported. I worked on translating the code to use the new DOMDocument and XSLTProcessor objects. Radar was up and running in no time at all. I remember grumbling about having outdated PHP a couple years ago. It’s nice that my host now offers this.
