Gardening for Conservation

Intel has a garden of sunflower seeds at the base of one of its buildings. Avatars are encouraged to come buy and plant a flower. Intel will donate 1 US$ to the Conservation International Foundation (10,000 US$ Max). I can plant up to 10 sunflowers each day. The score board here shows that over 6000 sunflowers have been planted this week. Am I saving the world? I am sure that someone is going to complain that the carbon footprint to pull this off is not any help to the cause. However, those resources were going to be used anyhow. This way, people are made aware and and money is donated.
