Speed versus Performance
I feel like I’m in a tough spot. I am reworking my message board code to make it more flexible for people to set colors and wrapping text. The problem that I’m running into is the amount of memory it takes to set all of this up. As I optimize bits of code here and there to make it take less memory, the execution time for the script takes much longer. I’ve heard people on the wiki state the anyone who is concerned about small adjustments for performance needs to rethink their approach to their code. It looks like I may have to go that route. The limitation of 16kb (including the code) is really killing me though. But hey, if NASA can put a man on the moon with 16kb, well I can too.
