Brainstorming for a niche market

Brainstorming for a niche market

Matthew Kidomen came by after viewing my post on snapzilla about losing visitor counts. He spent a considerable amount of time looking at each categorized vendor in my shop and browsing the products on display. He even played my memory game (free to play) and won 1 L$ just for playing.

Part of the problem was trying to identify my target audience. Most of my products are interactive and require to be placed on land (whether it be rented or owned). Most residents do not own land, so this is a pretty big set back.

I do create some products that people wear. I also create a few that people wear anyway (such as ELLiebob Bean who will wear anything I send her way without reading the name of it).

Matthew and I talked about search results and my ranking against different search terms. For example - searching for “gadgets” brings me up on page 6. Has anyone ever made it to page six? However, “gadget” lists me at the bottom of page 1. Go figure. But tell me - who searches for “gadget” when “gadgets” offers so much more?

Simple terms such as “blimp” and “message board” have me on page one. Still scratching our heads, Matthew had to call it a night.
