Avatar Accessible Design
During my buildings redesign, I changed from using teleports to a spiral ramp. One of the first buildings I maded in SL had spirals to cut down on prim counts. Compared to teleporters and elevators, ramps offer the valueof perception, ease of use, and reliability. My mother in-law went to the upstairs of the building on the first day she saw it and commented on items I had put upstairs. Being a noobie, she is an excellent example of how accessible design empowers your shoppers to look around in places where they otherwise would not have gone. I believe that I will stay away from teleporters and elevators from now on and stick to ramps.
