XML-RPC and HTTP Requests
I could have sworn that I’ve tried this before. I just couldn’t find my tests from before in my inventory. The goal was to see if you could make an RPC call with an HTTP request between objects. Apparently the lindens prevented it from happening with a message about access control configuration. The RPC problems have way to many issues to bother with anyway with channels expiring, scripting delays, and capping off messages. I’m exploring just about every avenue for object-to-object communications. It appears we are still limited to email and chat. Perhaps there is a proxy outside of SL that will let people to post back in-world to an XML-RPC service.
