A desolate quarantine
Walking around this post atomic city, I could feel the radiation just eminating from every atom around me. The road out of town has a sign warning of radiation out in the hills to the west. I can only guess that the sign is on the wrong side of the fence. The barbed wire fails to serve its purpose to impede traffic. The baricade only covers half of the road and anyone can walk by. It may be a new day with the sun comming up, but for all of us trapped on this desolate radioactive planet, hope is as dark as it can get. There are no transports comming to take us away. No words of comfort and encouragement. There is simply the pain of living in the end of days, waiting for the inevitable.
