Philanthropy interests declining

I have been supporting new players for a long time now. My money tree says that I’ve paid out 49k in lindens (9k donated), and my last money trees stats were similar. I am all for supporting new players in second life. The same names show up every day. These are the harvesters. They come in for a few seconds, pick the money and leave. Not so much as a thank you or even acknowledgement. Maybe I am taking it all too serious. What really got me today was that someone was automated. I had moved my tree back inside my building. They arrived outside where the tree used to be and suddenly they were rite over the tree. Definitely scripted. I need to look into other ways of philantropy.
