Voice Commands in Second Life

Voice Commands in Second Life

I originally wanted to buy some 3D software. I got it cheaper then I expected and bundled with a voice chat software. It’s nice to hear people talking who don’t have voice chat. The software also recognizes my own speech and sends it to the Second Life viewer. This sent me through windows speech recognition tutorials. After I was confident in what I was doing, I was able to start opening programs with no hands. Second Life is a bit odd. The whole environment is 3D so it doesn’t really get recognized with fields, buttons, and menus. Instead, you have to say all the short cut keys to do things. I’m still trying to figure out how to close my inventory window. Turning is a problem too.
