Developing items for the Cisco Sim
I don’t think my coworkers would believe me if I told them. I got an IM from Banana Stein asking if I had any products for a chat relay system. I worked on creating a microphone almost a year ago to help someone teach her classes. I went over to the Cisco sims to give Banana a demonstration. It was great, but wasn’t exactly what he needed. I worked with him a bit to determine what would be best to help him out with the Cisco folks presentation. I ended up making a new microphone that lets anyone speak who is close enough to it, and transmits a message to speakers in the back so that people far away can see the conversation as well. Banana was pretty happy that I developed these items. yes I am very happy - it was a tough task I asked for - the ability to have multiple speakers within the range of the microphone - did not want it to shout.
Damn this system is sweet - and very easy to set-up - I only have two small dead spaces in a seating area for 96 avs - across two sims :)
